Improvements have been vast for this version of the Shimano 105 5800 Front Brake Caliper - Silver and brings them closer than ever to the Ultegra version.
The dual pivot action gives them incredible performance, no matter what the conditions. This is further enhanced by the greater brake arch proportions. This makes responses more rapid and more powerful, to give you greater confidence.
Shimano understand that serviceability is a key criteria for their components, as they are so hard wearing. Therefore, it is great to see the addition of cartridge brake shoes. This means when you wear through the pads this caliper can be easily restored to its full working order.
The lightweight aluminium is finished in gleaming silver here, but these calipers are also available in black so that there is a set to match every bike.
