This was bought for me as a gift. I probably wouldn’t have justified it as a self purchase. The quality of the construction is brilliant and every aspect is far nicer than it really needs to be functionally. The handle feels lovely in the hand, the machining is sublime and the hose is the perfect blend of robustness and flexibility. The 2 standout features however which go beyond just build quality and bling are the gauge and the head. The gauge is large, clear and super accurate. The head is secure and easy to use. Beauty therefore is not just skin deep as the pump also performs brilliantly. You can’t escape the price, and you are well into the realms of diminishing returns. I can’t mark the overall score down for price because ‘it is what it is’ and if you are seriously considering buying one that won’t come as a surprise. Yes you can buy a thoroughly functional bike for the same price, but this pump does not exist to hit a price point. It exists to be the best. At least buying it from Sigma Sports the price is as good as it can be and the service and backup will always be good.
