The Spatz Basez 2 Long Sleeve Baselayer is a super warm, fast-wicking next-to-skin garment that is made to trap warm air and make long winter training rides much more enjoyable. The fabric has been made thicker and warmer at the front of the arms and chest where windchill is most prevalent, and the long rear hem reaches right down towards the saddle. Both the neck and arms are also extra long for warmth with the sleeves also having thumb loops to prevent any exposed skin at the wrists.

Great base layer, fit was extremely tight, I’m a 38 Inch chest. The M/L and L/XL were similar in sizing. The only real difference being the width of the neck. If your looking for a race/under jersey layer this is perfect. I would recommend sizing up if you want a comfortable fit. I returned the item as I’m looking for a more casual fit for commuting and both my mid layer and coat have a high neck so felt very claustrophobic with all 3 on.
Bought this as I suffer from exercise induced asthma and the cold affects this. I was concerned about the cost (being a Yorkshireman) but it’s worth every penny. It keeps me warm enough wicks the sweat away and I didn’t overheat and worked with my Gabba and Proviz gillet. Last ride was a 30miler that was wet and windy and 3 degrees C Never mind the cost enjoy the quality
