Thoughtfully designed with a host of useful features, the Spatz Thermoz Gloves offer great protection for the hands when riding in poor weather conditions. Made from a four-way stretch fabric with a fleece lining, the gloves provide warm insulation which can be supplemented if conditions take a turn for the worse with the neat windproof shell that is kept ready to deploy in a pocket on the back of the gloves. Long, zipped cuffs keep the blood vessels in the wrists warm and fit neatly under outer layers or jackets whilst the Epoxy gel palm grippers ensure good control of the handlebar even in wet conditions. Multiple reflective patches, especially on the back of the gloves aid low-light visibility and work well when signalling to turn. Touchscreen compatibility is supplied by a narrow slit in the index finger when dexterity is required and high wear areas benefit from extra-durable fabrics for longevity.

The optional wind-blocking lobster layer is a god-send for those who normally get cold hands. Not bulky so dexterity is not compromised. I measured up between Small and Medium per size chart. I went for Small and they are a good fit other than the fingers being a little long (I’m a female who usually goes for size 7 gloves)
The gloves are warm but not noticably moreso than a much cheaper pair of winter gloves. Spatz overshoes are in a league of their own but i found these gloves disappointing.
