The Topeak Fuel Tank Large is perfectly designed for those longer rides. Reaching for energy gels or bars from a back pocket can be difficult on the move, so locating them directly in-front of you on the top tube makes a lot of sense. This large capacity bag has its main compartment divided in two, so you can keep your valuables separated and right under your nose for security. Additional mesh pockets aid this further. One of the big selling points though is the battery cable access that enables you to charge your handlebar mounted gadgets whilst securing the battery safely (see images above). Now you can ride all day without fear of losing power for those all important directions.
I bought this as I was riding from Land's End to John O Groats, 984 miles in 10 days. It was perfect for what I wanted, big enough to hold camera, Jels,glasses, wallet and phone with very easy access whilst riding. Although it looked a bit wallyish, I didn't care it was ideal.
Really pleased with the product. Only wished it had a waterproof cover, but a plastic bag works just as well for the inner items. Plenty of room for battery pack for mobile/Garmin, and bits and bobs
