(2) Waist measurement is measured around the narrowest part of the torso, generally a couple of cm above the belly button with the tape measure horizontal to the floor.
(3) Hip measurement is measured around the fullest part of the behind with the tape measure horizontal to the floor.

I have been impressed by my UC thermal base layer. It fits well and is ideal for protection against the cold in the winter months. Worn under a long sleeved top it is good against the skin, warm but not bulky.
