The 303 Carbon Clincher Tubeless Disc is a premium quality rear wheel from Zipp that boasts some industry-leading design features.
Zipp's Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control (ABLC) dimples can extend all the way to the outer edge of the rim since there is no requirement for a braking surface. This provides even better aerodynamic performance, especially in a crosswind.
Wider tyres are accommodated for by the 21mm internal rim width, further improving comfort and aerodynamic performance. Clincher tyres with tubes can be easily fitted, but a key feature of this wheel is that it was designed as a tubeless option from scratch, and is optimised for tubeless clincher tyres.
The Firecrest 303's lightweight rim design excels at accelerating and climbing while the 177D hub is highly durable, with fewer requirements for maintenance. This highly compatible rear wheel comes supplied with both a quick release and 15mm thru-axle end caps.
