Sensory fabric panels are enlisted within the construction of this short. This highly breathable material keeps the wearer fresh but also, importantly, provides compression to the leg muscles. This compression reduces fatigue and enhances endurance by promoting improved blood flow and increased lactic acid clearance.
The Iron Performance seat pad then partners the comfort granted by this material. This high-density pad is sculpted into a shape that cushions and reduces pressure on sensitive areas when in the saddle. It is also fashioned to minimise obstruction and discomfort when on the swim or run sections of an event.
The fit is cut with a slightly higher waist to guarantee overlap with shorts, even when in the aero riding position. This is secured in place on the body via a broad elastic waistband that eliminates material slipping. Integrated leg grippers that avoid material bunching and flatlock stitching throughout then further improve comfort levels.
The short is completed with a rear pocket for energy gels and bars while a zipped compartment securely holds valuables.

Used these for Ironman Wales last weekend and they were comfortable throughout. No discomfort on the bike and no chafing on the run. The padding is thick enough without causing issues for swim, run. Didn't use the rear pocket so can't comment how that feels with things in it.
