Summer is approaching, the perfect excuse to escape the heat and plan a cycling adventure in the Alps. The French Alps and the Dolomites get all the attention, but Switzerland has some of the biggest and most beautiful mountains in Europe, and Andermatt is the gateway to eight legendary climbs.
Andermatt is a charming Alpine village in the heart of Switzerland and the official home of the Tudor Pro Cycling team. Bucket-list climbs include the iconic Furkapass (and the mandatory selfie in front of the Belvedere Hotel), the Susten, Nufenen, Grimsel, Klausen, Lukmanier, Oberalp and Gotthard passes. Many of the passes can be looped, making Andermatt an ideal base for cyclists from May through to October.
