Whether you're rolling out for a sunrise spin or grabbing a spontaneous after-work ride, this helmet keeps you prepared for anything. The Front Eyewear Port offers a secure spot for your glasses, while the washable, Floating Pad system gives consistent comfort, however wild the adventure becomes. It's also compatible with the Abus Magnetic rear light, ideal for early starts and late finishes.
Performance for Every Challenge
If your gravel rides are more “go hard” than “take it easy”, the Taipan has the tech to help you push further. Its low weight, aerodynamic Flow Straps™, and 18 optimised ventilation openings keep airflow high and resistance low. Inside, the Forced Air Cooling channels guide fresh air through the helmet for maximum temperature control. Meanwhile, the Acti Cage™ structural reinforcement lets ABUS create generous vents without compromising strength—perfect for steep climbs, interval training or chomping for that podium spot.
Comfort That Feels Like Freedom
For those long endurance rides, fit matters more than anything. The Taipan's subtly widened internal shape gives space for thicker padding, while the Zoom™ Spin adjustment system provides precise, customisable tuning with a simple rear dial. Thanks to Ponytail Fit, riders with long hair, ponytails, braids, and buns can enjoy a secure, pressure-free fit. The in-mould construction with robust polycarbonate lower edge protection ensures durability against knocks, scrapes and wear, ensuring protection all-around.

- In-mould roduction process - the inner cushioning material made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) is foamed directly into the outer shell made of polycarbonate (PC), creating a durable and robust connection
- Lower edge protection - polycarbonate (PC) outer shell covers the lower edge of the helmet and protects against scratches, impacts and signs of wear and tear
- Ponytail Fit - opening in the height-adjustable adjustment system, suitable for long hairstyles such as ponytails, buns, or braids
- Front Eyewear Port - recess on the front of the helmet to position glasses in a secure and aerodynamic holding position while riding
- Acti Cage™ - allows larger ventilation openings combined with high stability thanks to foamed-in structural reinforcement
- Forced Air Cooling ventilation - openings are connected via channels on the inside to guide incoming air through the helmet, maximising air circulation and a pleasant head climate
- Zoom™ Spin adjustment system with rotary wheel at the back of the head for individual adjustment of the helmet
- Flow Straps™ - aerodynamic straps for low flow resistance, less noise and high wear comfort
- Floating Pad - padding on the inside of the helmet is clicked into place via several attachment points, making it more flexible and offering better ventilation and greater wear comfort
