Saabatical,

after twice spending way too long getting tubeless tyres to seat - the third time i consistently failed. Then I bought this airshot tank: It is cheaper than an all-in-one system - even if you have to buy the track pump too. (additional benefit, the tank last forever, track pumps are cheaper to replace) The connection to the wheelsystem is just brilliant: there is a swiveling head (no wound up hoses) and the connection allows for a secure fit when the valve core is removed. No adapters required. The volume is sufficient to blast your tyres nicely seated on the rims. My user manual for what it's worth: Get the tyres on room temperature (or warmed up on the radiator or so) to ensure they are supple Ensure tyre (bead) and rim are clean Mount the tyre on the rim - use soapy water to ease the process Once on, ensure the tyre bead is wet with the soapy water Connect and fill the tank to 10bar and release the air (pang - pang, your tyre has seated!) Let it sit for a while - most likely the air will escape through sidewalls and the pressure will go back to nil. Undo the tank, fill the tyre with the right amount of sealant Pressurise and let the sealant seal the sidewall and fill any small holes - best to go for a 2 minute ride to slush the sealant nicely through the wheel. Top up the pressure and you're good to go!

A great tubless system when you don't need another track pump. Really easy to use and works well when resealing new tyres

Q & A

6 questions answered

  1. Is this safe to use with Schwalbe G One speed TLE 700 x 30cc whose maximum pressure is 50 - 80 psi.? Alternatively what pressure should i preload the air shot to for the mentioned tyre.?

    Asked by Tres82 (London, England)

    1. Hello there This should be fine to use with your schwalbes. The best bet for the pressure is to pre-load to your desired pressure specific to your riding style within the range that schwalbe recommend for the tyres. I hope this is helpful and please drop us an email if you need more help on this Harry

  2. is it safe to use if my tires suggest max 94psi, can you control psi inflation flow or something?

    Asked by coolio

    1. Hi there, This is designed to get the tyre seated and then you use a normal pump to set the pressure, Many thanks Joe W
