The Cannondale Scalpel Carbon SE 2 is a next-generation cross-country mountain bike that fuses World Cup speed with all-trail capability. Its full BallisTec carbon frame is super light and laterally stiff to afford a snappy, responsive ride and integrates a plush RockShox SIDLuxe Select+ rear damping unit to soak up the hardest hits. This damping unit is linked into the 4-bar FlexPivot suspension format that slashes weight, grants increased pedalling rigidity and improves rear-wheel traction across all surfaces. A partnering RockShox SID fork complements the frame by utilising its smooth 120mm of travel to heighten composure, comfort and line accuracy when the speeds are high over challenging terrain.
The progressive cross-country inspired geometry places the rider in a balanced and efficient position and incorporates frame-size specific suspension kinematics to guarantee a similar ride quality to riders of all sizes. Ideally positioned over the pedals, riders can drive powerfully through the wide-ranging, crisp-shifting Shimano 12-speed gear setup. This drivetrain propels bombproof, tubeless-ready wheels that are stopped in all conditions by confidence-inspiring hydraulic disc brakes. A dropper post completes the build, lowering the saddle out of the way when the riding is rapid and technical.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
