This latest version of the Black Inc line, the Cannondale SuperSix Evo Black Inc. Road Bike 2016, takes the already incredible and race ready bike from last year and staggeringly manages to improve on it. Featuring one of the lightest framesets on the planet and one of the most desirable finishing kit lists around, speed is at the heart of this bike, with a SuperSix EVO BallisTec NANO Carbon SPEED SAVE frame.

This is paired with a Pressfit BB30 bottom bracket and the exceptionally smooth, lightweight and stiff Cannondale HollowGram SiSL2 crankset. Shimano's, top of the range, Dura-Ace 9000, 11-speed graces the Nano Black Inc, to provide precise, fast shifting and stopping power. ENVE are the Rolex of components and provide the handlebar, stem and seatpost as well as the responsive, state of the art and upgrade for this year to the 4.5 tubular wheelset.

This is one high performance road bike. The Enve 4.5 tubular rims are paired with equally impressive Chris King R45 hubs and DT Swiss Aerolite spokes. A wheelset such as this needs a fantastic set of tyres and the grippy, low rolling resistant, durable, Schwalbe One 24 millimetre tubulars are just that. Perfect for riding and cornering in both the wet and the dry, the upgrade in depth and to tubulars emphasises further the racing pedigree of this bike.

A race-ready setup does not mean it is an uncomfortable one. Fizik are well established in the cycling industry, producing saddles for the likes of Tour de France champion Chris Froome, and they have added their Arione 00 saddle and Team grips. These come in matching stealthy black with the top end saddle featuring Mobius Braided Carbon Rails to save further weight and add comfort.

An exciting change for 2016 is the eeBrake from eeCycleWorks. This company uses the best engineering and real life testing to give superb stiffness for the ultimate modulation, more power, easier installation, greater tyre clearance, tool-less pad centering, and cleaner look.

Improvements for this year are seen in the frame and fork also. Cannondale have improved stiffness in the bottom bracket, headtube and fork to give you even better response and performance. This has not come at the cost of comfort, as compliance where it is needed has gone up by 20% to keep you fresher for longer and allow you to sustain your best efforts. Thankfully, Cannondale have been able to tackle aerodynamics without making a ridiculous and impractical looking bike.

Clever Truncated Aero Profile (TAP) tube shapes allow you to further cheat the wind for an added six watts of saving even over last year's model. All of these advancements have not come with a weight penalty though, as amazingly Cannondale have managed to save an additional seventy grams from the system weight. Considering all of these together, really emphasises the jaw dropping quality of this super bike that you will really be able to notice.
