The Cannondale SuperX Apex 1x Disc Cyclocross Bike is a honed race machine, featuring a lightweight carbon frameset and a minimalist SRAM groupset designed for the cut-and-thrust of CX racing. If you're looking for an immediate performance upgrade ahead of the new season, then this bike demands consideration.
The SuperX frameset is made from Cannondale's premium BallisTec carbon fibre, a material that provides an exceptionally stiff platform whilst remaining remarkably light. This is essential for cyclocross racing, where you need every efficiency available to you whilst powering around the circuit. A heavy or overly-flimsy frameset is a considerable disadvantage in this discipline where every second is vital.
The SRAM Apex groupset has also been selected with racing in mind, the 1x drivetrain providing a degree of simplicity that is invaluable during cyclocross. With only one shifter to worry about, you are free to concentrate on nailing your race line rather than fiddling with your gears. Similarly, the lack of a front derailleur means that there is less chance of mud building up - keeping your drivetrain running smoothly even in muddy conditions.
Hydraulic disc brakes are another handy addition, providing both powerful stopping but also precise modulation. This allows you to carry as much speed into corners as possible, helping you maintain your hard-won momentum for the duration of the race.
The Maddux CX 2.0 rims provide plenty of strength and toughness for the rough-and-tumble of racing, while the Vittoria Terreno Mix tyres provide plenty of grip and traction, even in the wet.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
