Cannondale Synapse Carbon SE Ultegra Disc Road Bike 2019
The SE (or Special Equipment) moniker is reserved for the most versatile bikes in the Cannondale lineup, and this Cannondale Synapse SE Ultegra Disc is no different. By combining the outstanding endurance characteristics of the original Synapse road bike with wider tyres and lower gearing, Cannondale have created a wonderfully adaptable machine that is as comfortable tackling towpaths and gravel trails as it is mile-munching on the tarmac.
With a high-grade BallisTec carbon frame providing the lightweight chassis, this bike is plenty light enough for taking on those steep climbs, whether they be on the road or off it. The frame benefits from Cannondale's SAVE technology, an innovative frame layup that is designed to absorb shocks and impacts from the road to keep you riding in comfort. This makes this bike a fantastic option for those long days in the saddle where you need to stay as fresh as possible for as long as you can.
The bike's endurance credentials are further enhanced by the inclusion of 30c WTB Exposure TCS tyres - these wide rubbers allow you to run a lower pressure than any skinnier options, adding a further degree of comfort to your ride. Wider tyres run at lower pressures, meanwhile, also means more contact area between the tyre and the ground, increasing the grip and traction for a more confident and assured ride. The WTB rims, meanwhile, are also tubeless-ready should you wish to upgrade for even more comfort.
The combination of a 50/34 chainset along with an 11-34 cassette provides a healthy spread of low gears perfect for tackling those gravel track climbs. The 1:1 lowest gear ratio, especially, is beneficial for this purpose, giving you the get-out-of-jail card you need should you come up against a particularly nasty gradient.
The Shimano Ultegra groupset, meanwhile, provides a low overall weight along with seamless shifting ability. The hydraulic disc brakes are another welcome addition, providing you with confidence-inducing stopping power and great modulation.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
