These Castelli bib shorts are so good that I bought a second pair. I rode from the UK to Italy in September. 10 days at 100 mile per day and 20,000m of climbing, so long days in the saddle . I have done similar trips before but this is the first time that I have been totally comfortable and sore free from the first to the last day I washed the shorts every night and used the hotel hairdryer to dry them. We had heavy rain, strong winds and perfect sunshine days and these shorts stayed in perfect shape. When I got home I saw that Sigma were offering them at a great price so snapped up a pair. They're still in their wrapping, unused and ready for when my existing pair wear out, which could be some time! I cannot recommend these highly enough. I am 5'8.5 and weigh around 10st 10 lbs and the L size is a perfect fit for me. Lastly I didn't even have time to test them out before my ride started but I always buy Castelli so knew that I could trust them for a quality fit and finish. A. Chest: Holding the tape horizontally, measure under your armpits with your arms relaxed at your sides, around the fullest part of your chest.
B. Waist: Holding the tape horizontally, measure around your natural waistline, across the belly button, keeping the tape a bit loose.
C. Hips: Holding the tape horizontally, measure around the largest part of your hips, keeping the feet close together.
D. Inseam: Measure from the crotch to the base of the ankle bone

I am 6ft 1 and 82kg and take an xl in all my other Castelli bib`s, but these were a little tighter . My first ride with these was a flat 140 miles where i hardly stood up and they were faultless. i didn`t have any discomfort whatsoever. I would highly recommend these shorts!!
