With the introduction of the Garmin Edge 1000 GPS Unit and its increased length, you'll need a new handlebar mount. This mount is extended allowing you to put the Edge 1000 out front where you can take full advantage of its data. Please note: GPS unit not included.
It's the only mount that really suits the Edge 1000 so no choice really. Having said that, it does do the job well. It fits well is easy to attach to bars and hold the device securely. N.B. I never rely solely on the mount, preferring to use the lanyard to attach the device to the bars as well. I do feel it is a bit over-priced, but as said earlier, not a lot of choice for good quality extended mounts
