The Garmin Seat Rail Mount Kit simplifies your bike setup and optimises the height of your compatible Garmin Varia rearview radar/light for maximum visibility to approaching vehicles. This mount kit allows cyclists to securely attach their Varia bike radar (not included) beneath the saddle using standard seat rails. It's quick and easy to install with a 4 mm hex wrench (not included).

Fitted this to my saddle for my RCT715 radar. I found it quite difficult to put together- there’s a YouTube video which I had to replay multiple times to work out which part went which way up etc. It’s now fitted perfectly, but nothing like the video! It holds the radar really well, and doesn’t move once set. If the bike is used without the radar the bracket will rattle like heck because you can’t cinch it down onto nothing. It also cost a small fortune for some plastic and bolts. But - it does what it’s supposed to do.

I’m hoping to do some touring in Scotland next year. I purchased the Varia 280 to connect to my Edge. The visibility wasn’t great with rear pannier rack as the light sits at the bottom of the device. This seat mount raises the Varia so that it is visible to approaching vehicles. Great job.
