My previously fitted Bontrager bar tape in Catalyst Orange needed replacing but that colour was no longer available so had to choose something different. Went for the Lizard Skins DSP in 3.2mm which I now think is too thick, maybe the 2.5mm version would have been a better option. The screw in bar end plugs supplied are not as one would expect. They are a bit like a DIY wall plug where the screw forces the plug apart, they didn't hold in my bars !! Having fitted many different makes of bar tape on various bikes I've never had any issues before. The end of the bar would not tuck in neatly as there was a loose piece of the thin bright orange edging flapping about. In the end the only option was to wrap black tape around the end then fitted some hard black plugs I had spare which seemed to have done the trick. Rode the bike for a 41 miles ride that had some rough surfaces and they stayed in. Usual great service from Sigma

LizardSkins is particularly known for their tape being tricky to install, especially this thicker one. If you manage to wrap it, it's nice on feel and cushioned well. I failed to do so and had to bin £30 tape and get a different one. It clearly states to not stretch the tape, however, wrapping such thick tape without stretching around the levers and bends of the tops is particularly tricky if you don't want any gaps. Admittedly I have stretched one of the two tapes a bit too much, causing the left side of my handlebars to be much thinner than the right with the same amount of overlap. Having cut it, it was impossible to re-do so I decided to not go about with 2 different looking sides of the bar and had to bin it. Get this tape if you have dealt with Lizard Skins before, know the technique to work with it and forget about figure 8 wrap. It's a shame as the side of the bar I wrapped second having learned my lesson looked great but didn't want to risk another 30 quid for one more set of tape.
