Mavic Cosmic SLR 45 Ceramic Disc Road Wheelset

The Mavic Cosmic SLR 45 Ceramic Disc represents the ultimate evolution of the all-rounder wheelset, combining a versatile 45mm rim depth with the elite performance of ceramic bearings. Crafted from 100% unidirectional carbon fibre, this wheelset is designed for the cyclist who demands peak efficiency across every type of terrain. At a total weight of just 1480g, it offers the perfect balance of aerodynamic speed on the flats and a lightweight, responsive feel for the most demanding climbs.

Aerodynamic Precision and Ceramic Efficiency

By integrating premium ceramic bearings with low friction seals, this wheelset delivers a significant reduction in rolling resistance and enhanced long term durability. The 23mm internal width creates an Aero Wide profile that ensures a seamless transition between the rim and the tyre, effectively slashing micro turbulence. This wider foundation allows you to run lower tyre pressures for a smoother ride on rough surfaces, providing you with unmatched control and stability even when navigating unpredictable crosswinds at high speeds.

Advanced Rigidity with Fore Technology

Strength and reliability are elevated through Mavic's innovative Fore technology, which threads the spokes directly into a reinforced metallic insert in the rim. This method creates a much stiffer connection for better power transfer while keeping the upper rim bridge completely sealed and airtight. Because the rim remains solid, you can enjoy a hassle free tubeless setup without the need for rim tape, resulting in a more robust system that reduces the risk of spoke movement or breakage during intense efforts.
