The first wheel-tyre system by Mavic.

For the first time, a wheel set has been designed integrating a specific tyre. This new approach opens a new era in wheel development. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Ksyrium and to improve its responsiveness even further Mavic developed its wheel and tyre technologies together: ISM3D and asymmetrical rims, dual compound fast-rolling racing tyre, Isopulse spoke lacing.

• Mavic goes further in the wheel concept approach with the integration of tyre to provide a wheel/tyre system

GripLINK - Tread compound

• Provides the right grip
• The choice of a rubber compound is a subtle compromise between grip and abrasion resistance.
• The harder the compound, the better the abrasion resistance.
• On the contrary, the softer the compound, the better the grip.
• Dual Compound uses two different compounds to improve the grip when cornering
• (softer compound on the shoulders) while limiting the abrasion (harder compound in the centre).

ProtekLINK - Anti-puncture breaker

• Ensures the right protection
• The material used for the breaker determines the level of protection.
• Polycotton / Kevlar offers a strong protection.
• Nylon is even stronger but a bit heavier.

PowerLINK - Casing density

• Delivers the right energy transfer
• The casing density is expressed in TPI (Threads Per Inch).
• The higher the casing density, the more responsive the tyre.
