The lens is designed specifically to enhance contrast in colours associated with a road environment while a Ripel treatment prevents the lens from fogging up, and water will bead and roll off fast, so as not to cause a distraction. There are a few extra details that complete these sunglasses perfectly. In the case of a knock or drop, the frame is less likely to be damaged thanks to hinges that'll snap before braking, and a secure fit and enhanced comfort are taken care of by the adjustable hydrophilic rubber in the nosepiece and temples, that'll remain grippy even when wet.

I've switched to these from Oakley Jawbreaker's for road riding and they're excellent. The sheer size makes for unobstructed vision and the lens quality (cat 2 gold) seem as good as Oakley's Road Prizm. The nosepiece is adjustable and the glasses interface with a POC Ventral helmet well. The only negative for me is the case, it's a hard plastic case that doesn't stay together so I've ditched it and keep the glasses inside my helmet when I'm not wearing them. Apart from that - 100%. Recommended.
