I picked up a couple of these in the Sigma sale. Sizing seems to suit an oval head shape. I have the model with the ‘Spin’ pads, but there is a good review online , where you can compare those to the newer version with ‘MIPS Integra’ pads… Honestly, apart from the colour change from aqua blue to black / yellow, they’re identical. The helmet has great ventilation, and I don’t tend to notice wearing the helmet , on 2 hour plus rides. The adjuster knob is close to the edge of the shell, at the back. It can be fiddly. This gets criticised, but the Tectal shell runs deeper at the sides and the back, so that was always likely. Visor..? Nothing special. NFC and RECCO? I couldn’t give a fig as they’re irrelevant in town.. might be helpful for others though. I did try a Kortal .. wanted to like it , but it looked, and felt, bulky. The Kortal looks good on display, but doesn’t suit me. In summary, Tectal is light, best suited for oval heads, and has deeper protection, both sides and back. Recommended. (And going forward, it looks essentially unchanged.. that’s wise because it’s a classic)
