Roval Alpinist CL II Disc Front Wheel

A great option for riders who enjoy the climbs as much as the descents, the lightweight Alpinist CL II Disc Front Wheel from Roval is right at home when the road heads upwards. Every step of the build is done by hand, from the layup of the carbon rim to the tensioning of the spokes, so a high-quality product is assured.

The rim is 27mm wide and 33mm deep, with a blunt profile that does provide some aerodynamic benefit at speed, but is also light enough to feel spritely uphill and wide enough to marry perfectly with the tyre’s sidewall to smooth the airflow over the interface. The shallow profile is also very useful when riding in crosswinds as the front wheel won’t be knocked out of line by every gust. A hooked bead construction allows the tubeless-ready rim to also be safely used with tube-type tyres, giving a wide choice and flexibility when it comes to tyre choice.

The DT Swiss hub features sealed steel cartridge bearings for low drag and longevity whilst the DT Swiss CompRace spokes are equally reliable and high-performance. Should maintenance be required, a spare spoke kit is supplied with the wheel and the common standard makes sourcing extras simple.
