Santa Cruz Hightower Carbon C S 29" Mountain Bike 2020
More manoeuvrable than longer travel bikes but with ample travel for big hits and chunky terrain, the Santa Cruz Hightower Carbon C S 29" Mountain Bike is an off-road dream thanks to its completely versatile principles. Via a gamut of technical design features and advanced materials, this trail master covers any topography with consummate ease.
Arriving from the very pinnacle of Santa Cruz’s composite knowledge, the Hightower frame is realised in an advanced carbon material to grant natural trail poise and reactiveness. The VPP lower-link-mounted rear suspension unit issues a linear leverage curve allowing any bump or irregularity to be smoothed in an ultimately progressive manner. The RockShox Lyrik Select+ suspension fork then complements with its 150mm of plush travel ensuring that any direction choice is held with total composure.
The wheelset combines the proficient Race Face AR rims with the low maintenance DT Swiss 370 hubset. This 29-inch configuration is realised within a boost build to afford increased trail accuracy and smooth-rolling passage across even the most rutted of paths.
The ever-reliable SRAM GX Eagle groupset realises swift, accurate gear changes through the wide-ranging 12-speed cassette. This groupset enables the rider to confront any topography while the SRAM crankset and its integrated, oversize DUB axle makes sure that no power is wasted upon forward drive. Braking is then performed adeptly by the hydraulic setup, allowing for smooth but powerful stopping no matter the conditions.
The RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper post allows saddle height to be changed on-the-fly according to trail complexity before a Race Face bar and stem coalition keep everything pointing on the correct line.
To complete an already comprehensive trail thoroughbred even more versatility is provided by the integrated Flip Chip technology. This feature can be user adjusted within a matter of minutes and alters the level and feel of the rear suspension to offer an ultimately tuneable ride experience.
