Santa Cruz Nomad Alloy R 27.5" Mountain Bike 2020
The Santa Cruz Nomad Alloy R 27.5" Mountain Bike was designed to nudge the boundaries of what a full-suspension bike could achieve. Using 170mm of travel at the front and rear, you have a hugely capable bike not just in dealing with flat out riding but taking on the technical stuff.
With the limits pushed on travel and geometry, the guys at Santa Cruz are pretty happy with how this one turned out. Changing the shock rate to be feather-light in response to small bumps has improved the ride feel and quality.
The RockShox Super Deluxe Select rear shock uses Maxima Plush fluid, this reduces the friction in the internal movement and prevents damper noise so you can focus on the riding knowing the terrain will be smoothed out. On the front, you get a RockShox Yari RC fork with 170mm of travel but the big bike feel doesn't detract from the confident handling and the ability to navigate the lumps and bumps. Further suspension tweaks can be made using the Flip Chip technology, the rider can adjust the rear shock as they want to, determined by the landscape ahead.
With hydraulic brakes, you can be assured of plenty of controlled stopping power in all conditions in addition to the Race Face Aeffect dropper post that allows the saddle height to be adjusted to meet the demands of the terrain being ridden. Gear changes are provided by the 12-speed setup, with a broad range cassette you'll be riding assuredly over, up or down any rocks, trails or rough stuff.
