Santa Cruz Nomad Alloy S 27.5" Mountain Bike 2020
The Santa Cruz Nomad Alloy S 27.5" Mountain Bike is a fourth-generation model but they haven't rested on their laurels. This is a hugely capable bike, either tackling downhills with confidence or climbing with nimble sure-footedness.
The aluminium frame has been configured with a lower-link-mounted suspension that improves the feel and response when riding over small bumps. Flip Chip technology allows for further rear shock fine-tuning, giving the rider the ability to alter the response in relation to what they'll be tackling. That's not to dispute the assured handling over the rougher stuff either, the FOX Float fork works well with the RockShox rear shock to iron out the kinks so as a rider you are left to navigate your path with minimal interference. The 170mm of travel will ensure this feels very cushioned without diminishing the agile handling and nimble response from the 27.5" wheelset that feature DT Swiss hubs and Race Face AR rims for strength and decent rolling momentum.
Swift and reliable gear changes are provided by the SRAM GX Eagle groupset with the 1x setup you get simplicity but without compromising ability, as the wide-ranging cassette will enable riders to conquer the toughest of ascents. Hydraulic disc brakes will enable the downhills to be taken in complete confidence as the powerful braking can be modulated smoothly in any conditions. To help master those technical sections, the RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper post allows the saddle to be set at the right height on-the-fly.
