Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon C S Reserve 27.5" Mountain Bike 2020
The Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon C S Reserve 27.5" Mountain Bike has taken performance levels up to another level. The bike has the same high tech list as the C S version but the Reserve model has a little more star quality. The wheelset uses the same reliable, smooth-rolling DT Swiss 370 hubs with Competition Race spokes but they are laced to Santa Cruz Reserve 30 27.5" Carbon rims. Santa Cruz is that confident in the strength of these rims that they have backed this up with a lifetime warranty on them.
Other improvements that feature on the Santa Cruz Carbon C S Reserve include a change to the shock-link position. This provides riders with a better response when tackling small bumps and the suspension offers a more moderated, smoother feel. With 170mm of travel, you want to feel in control and the suspension is a big part of that. The lower bottom bracket tweaks the geometry, making the rider feel more stable so you can hit the trails with confidence. The addition of a Flip Chip rear suspension feature allows the chainstays to be adjusted, longer or shorter for more traction or increased handling agility.
The groupset is the reliable SRAM GX Eagle; the single-front chainring in combination with the broad range cassette allows any climb or ascent to be taken on with conviction. When it comes to stopping or scrubbing off speed, this is handled by the hydraulic disc brakes, the 200mm disc rotors offer plenty of surface area to ensure braking is consistent and controlled. With the ability of the Nomad to take on a challenge the option to position your saddle out of the way to get to grips with technical descents or rock gardens is paramount, the RockShox Reverb Stealth dropper post does just that plus you can do it on-the-fly.
