The Santa Cruz Nomad CC XX1 SDU 27.5" Mountain Bike is everything you would expect from a premium all-mountain machine. Using the platform changes that have been designed for use across the range, the Nomad is hugely capable and at home on a variety of topography.

The tech guys at Santa Cruz started with the frame’s carbon layup. After extensive research and development, they improved the process to make the carbon stronger and lighter but without compromising its strength or performance. The suspension setup has seen a few changes too, the rear shock has been mounted lower on the frame to produce a more responsive feel when encountering small obstacles. The rear suspension can be fine-tuned further, with the Flip Chip feature which allows riders to change the geometry in accordance with where they are riding for complete versatility and confidence. Coupled with 170mm of travel in the FOX Float Factory fork, you have a suspension arrangement that will smooth out the rough stuff and allow the speed to flow.

Proven at the highest level in professional-level races, the SRAM wireless AXS groupset offers reliable, effortless gear changes with a simple touch on the new controls on the handlebar. Configured specifically for mountain biking, there is plenty of customisation available within the accompanying app to suit every rider's requirements as well as the ability to keep an eye on battery levels. Code RSC hydraulic disc brakes and large 200mm rotors perform admirably in all conditions, ensuring modulated stopping power is available whenever required.

Riding any obstacles is made easier with the addition of a 27.5" wheelset, still giving solidity but with an agile feel to the steering. Industry Nine supply the i9 hubs, with Santa Cruz's own Reserve 30 Carbon rims and DT Swiss Competition spokes ensuring stiffness and speed. Should the need arise and you need to lower your seat to take on a gnarly descent or just want a little more manoeuvrability off the back of the saddle, the dropper post, courtesy of RockShox, will allow adjustments to be made on-the-fly. The Nomad is true to its name, you can take it anywhere.
