Santa Cruz Stigmata Carbon CC Force AXS 650b Gravel Bike 2020
The Santa Cruz Stigmata Carbon CC Force AXS 650b Gravel Bike blends several important traits derived from the mountain bike world to create a completely balanced ride that is set for any adventure across gravel, rough roads or forest tracks.
The full carbon frame and fork of the Stigmata have taken material lay-up cues from its off-road brethren to remove and add material according to the different loads across the chassis. This results in a ride that blends stiffness, off-road compliance and balanced handling for any terrain encountered. Compatibility with 650b or 700c wheels increases the scope of use further while large amounts of tyre clearance allow the ride to be tuned depending on the ground to be faced. A threaded bottom bracket adds convenience and low maintenance while mudguard attachments then complete a thorough frame feature list.
The 650b wheels are shod with wide tyres and are ready for venturing further into the wilderness where the surfaces become heavier. The Race Face ARC rims are hardy and resilient for the bigger hits while the DT Swiss hubs are smooth spinning and hassle-free. Gear changing is then charged to a blend of SRAM Force and X01 Eagle components with this configuration communicating wirelessly to facilitate crisp and accurate shifting across the wide-ranging 12-speed cassette. A single chainring is used at the front for off-road simplicity and is driven by the SRAM crankset and DUB axle in an efficient manner.
Braking is delivered within a consistent, modulated hydraulic set-up before the build is completed with an Easton carbon finishing kit.
