Scott Spark RC 900 SL 29" Mountain Bike 2019
The Scott Spark RC 900 SL 29" Mountain Bike oozes race-winning pedigree, and no expense has been spared in its quest for outright speed. The frame and shock weigh a scant 1,799 grams, whilst the Syncros Silverton 1.0 wheelset is also incredibly light at 1,250 grams so that when completed with a plethora of lovely carbon components and XTR 12-speed groupset, the entire bike still registers less than 10kg on the scales.
Low weight is nothing without the performance to match, and Scott has ensured that the Spark RC 900 SL has it in abundance. At the heart of the bike is their clever TwinLoc suspension system, which has three settings controlled from the handlebar: Descend gives access to the full 100mm of plush travel for going downhill or across rocky ground, Traction Control reduces the travel to 70mm by closing off one air chamber for optimum grip when heading uphill or to increase the agility of the bike on tight, twisty trails, whilst Lockout is ideal for tarmac or fire roads ensuring that no energy is lost.
With its heritage at the front of the race field, it's only to be expected that the groupset, fork and components are top-tier. Shimano’s XTR gears and brakes have long been the benchmark by which all others are judged, giving light, precise shifting and modulated braking in all conditions. The FOX 32 SC Float Factory Air Kashima fork is the lightest, best performing XC fork that the brand has ever built, tuned specifically to work with 100mm of travel. The finishing kit is also all very definitely out of the top draw, with Syncros SL carbon components looking and feeling the part, with the 720mm wide Fraser iC SL Carbon integrated handlebar and stem system in particular offering stiff and precise steering.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
