I like this version of Shimano climbing switches much more than a previous incarnation-in-a-big-box. No need to going DYI soldering of another pair of sprinter switches and wandering would be your water protection enough for heavy rain. The set has two pairs of adapters, one for traditional round haandlebar and one for aerodynamic. The switches have enough wire length to be placed in whatever place on handlebar you'd like. I had to hide extra wire under bar tape. The only drawback is that they are ridiculously expensive for just a pair of buttons with simple electronics inside.

They could be a bit smaller and the securing with zip ties is messy. I ended up securing them with Sugru for a clean and secure fit. They are great on climbs and on the Turbo.

Is there a way to use these to change the position of the front derailleur aswel? I know in e tap you press both buttons at the same time to change the front. Is this the same for shimano?
Hi Jay, These can only be used for shifting on the rear cassette, they would not shift the front mech as Sram blips would. Thanks, Max

Hi. I am wondering if when plugged into Shimano's SC-MT800 display unit (the XT one with three ports). And connected with a battery and rear derailleur. That they would move the derailleur between the high and low gears?
