I have the top of the range shimano s-phyre shoes for my road bike and love them so I thought I'd get these lower cost ones for my peloton bike at home as couldn't be bothered to constantly switch the cleats over on my other shoes. These RC1 shoes are a different fit and much more unstable. They come well reviewed on other websites for use on peloton but I'm suspicious now that they're just paid reviews. Not the quality I would expect from shimano at all.

Shimano RC1 Road Cycling Shoes
Shimano’s RC1 Road Cycling Shoes are the perfect first step into the realm of dedicated riding footwear. The stiff glass fibre sole and 3-bolt cleat compatibility guarantee better power transfer and cycling comfort than soft-soled trainers, with the three Velcro straps providing plenty of secure adjustabilities. By using a wrap-over style tongue arrangement, hotspots and potential rubbing should be avoided and the combination of synthetic leather and mesh materials provides good breathability. If cycling after the sun has set, then the 360° reflective details will add extra visibility and safety.
Pedal cleats are available to be purchased separately.

About Shimano
Shifting the way the world rides.
From a single Osaka workshop in 1921, Shimano has grown into the world's most influential component maker. The brand's relentless engineering — Dura-Ace, Ultegra, GRX, XTR — has shaped the way the world shifts, brakes and rides, on the road and off it.
Shimano's flagship groupset, Dura-Ace, has been the benchmark for top-level road components for more than five decades. Every refinement that lands on Dura-Ace eventually shapes the entire Shimano range, all the way down to entry-level drivetrains.
