Great replacement for a old worn out one with Ultegra groupset combos. The R8000 is always a smooth reliable shifting mechanism that provides good feedback on the road with a crisp gear shift when setup correctly with new inners and outers in most internally routed frames. I use mine on a 2017 Specialized Venge Disk Expert which makes this rear mech a component to a high spec fast road bike capable of transferring your performance accurately to the road for a considerable time before failure. It is still one the best low cost, high performance Shimano derailleur on the market that is easy to install yourself at home.
