Rear Derailleurs
Rear derailleurs, or rear mechs, come in a variety of options from the big component manufacturers. Choices include mechanical, electronic, short cage, medium cage, long cage, and clutch types, compatible with 9, 10, 11, or 12-speed systems. Over time, rear mechs can wear out, with springs losing tension from regular use, leading to imprecise shifting.
