Skarper eBike Drive System
The Skarper eBike Drive System is a clip-on electric motor and lightweight drive system that transforms a standard bicycle into a high-performance eBike. This next-generation conversion kit offers a powerful click-on, click-off system for a seamless riding experience.
Skarper drive unit
The drive unit features a high-torque brushless motor paired with a state-of-the-art Li-ion battery pack, delivering power in a compact and portable design.

Featuring wireless Bluetooth connectivity between the DynamicClimb Pedal Sensor and the Skarper Drive Unit, the system adapts to the rider’s cycling style, delivering near-instantaneous power while dynamically responding to changing terrain with its built-in incline sensor.
FAQs
Can I change the power mode while riding?
You can change modes on the Skarper by pressing the mode button on the front of the drive unit after stopping completely.
How long does it take to charge?
The battery charges from 0-80% in an hour and 0-100% in just over 2 hours.
What is the range per charge?
This is variable depending on how you ride. The quoted range is 50km in eco and 30km in turbo, however with the pedal backwards feature this can be greatly extended.
Why do you need to change the disc brake?
The disc brake is high quality and acts just as any other disc brake would, with the only difference being it allows a Skarper to be attached to it. (The bike will still feel the same with a Skarper disc brake attached.
Is there a weight limit?
No, the Skarper has no weight limit and has even been used on tandem bikes. Can I have 2 Skarper disc brakes and switch my Skarper between them? Of course! As the disc brake acts as any other premium disc brake, your bike will ride perfectly even without a Skarper unit equipped. This means you can put a Skarper disc brake on multiple bikes and switch a Skarper between them as and when you want without having to sacrifice usability.
How fast does it go?
The Skarper is pedal assist and as such conforms to the restrictions imposed by the UK government. Therefore the motor is limited to 25kph, although once this speed is exceeded, the motor will stop assistance but will also provide no resistance, meaning your bicycle will act as a normal bicycle after exceeding the motors limit.
