Specialized Epic Expert Evo Carbon 29 Mountain Bike 2019
Take one race winning cross country machine, add a bit more travel, a touch wider tyres plus a dropper seatpost and the Specialized Epic Expert Evo Carbon 29 Mountain Bike is born. Whilst there was never any doubting the speed of the Epic, the Evo additions have broadened the terrain over which it can shine by adding more comfort, control and capability on the really rough stuff.
The carbon frame weight has been reduced by over 500 grams, keeping the bike impressively light and nimble, whilst the Rider-First Engineered concept means that the feel and performance of the frame are identical regardless of rider size. The 100mm travel Brain 2.0 rear shock has been made more sensitive by moving it closer to the rear axle, whilst the FOX Step-Cast 34 Performance series front fork brings 120mm of plush travel to the party, slackening the front end to 68.5 degrees in the process.
SRAM’s 12-speed Eagle groupset and Level TL hydraulic disc brakes are worthy additions, supplying ample stopping power and precise gear shifts in a simple to use 1x package. The Roval Control Carbon wheels with 2.3” Specialized rubber are light enough for rapid direction changes, but strong enough to cope with the high speed descending that the Epic Expert Evo encourages. The X-Fusion Manic dropper post is a godsend on steeper drops.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
