The Specialized Roubaix SL4 Comp UDi2 Road Bike 2016 is truly a bike that encourages you to keep riding by saving you energy wherever it can. Endurance Road Geometry sets this bike apart from the rest of Specialized’s road bike range. Giving a more relaxed position, ideal for epic 100 mile sportives but still feeling direct and lively enough if you want to sprint over a climb or push it hard round a hairpin corner.

Specialized’s carefully developed Zertz system dampens rough roads and is used in the seatstays and fork. This is the same shock absorption technology used on Boonen’s race bike he rode to devastating effect on the cobbles of Paris Roubaix.

An Italian addition, the Fulcrum Racing S-19 wheels are light, responsive and look rapid! These fast spinning clincher wheels are paired with Specialized's own Turbo Pro tyres. Designed to offer comfort, grip and puncture protection, whether that be when racing or tackling a gruelling sportive.

What really makes this bike stand out from the competition is the addition of the latest in electronic 11-speed components. The Shimano Ultegra Di2 setup used here is one of the best, providing silky smooth, effortless and precise shifts every time. This is yet another reason you are going to want to keep clocking up the miles on this brilliant machine.

Incorporated into the Ultegra drivetrain is the Praxis Works TURN Zayante crankset. This provides phenomenal stiffness where you need it most to transfer your efforts into speed in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, this double chainring setup means, whatever the gradient, you will never be stuck for gears, especially as it is combined with a gradient defying 11-32 rear cassette.

Specialized have used their in-house design team to produce the stiff and durable Comp level handlebar and stem. These are both lightweight and shaped perfectly for an ergonomic ride. Keeping weight down and further contributing to its smooth ride, a single bolt, Specialized CG-R, FACT carbon seatpost gives the rider an armchair ride, however rough the road is.

Available in a head-turning colour scheme and a range of sizes, this bike proves you do not need to sacrifice speed for comfort.
