Trek Domane SL 5 Disc Road Bike 2023
The Trek Domane SL 5 Disc Road Bike Gen 4 by Trek manages to balance performance, aerodynamics and comfort superbly, allowing it to happily transcend many road bike genres.
The frame is made from Trek’s 500 Series OCLV Carbon that balances weight, stiffness and strength whilst also featuring their IsoSpeed technology for a much smoother ride. IsoSpeed allows the rider to be better isolated from small bumps, irregularities and vibrations from the road surface for less fatigue and more speed without reducing the efficiency of the power transfer. Clearance for tyres up to 38mm wide means that there are plenty of opportunities to explore less well-travelled lanes and trails in comfort and there are top tube mounts for a bag and an internal storage compartment in the downtube that provide ample room for nutrition, spares and tools.
Updated Kammtail tube shapes ensure that the frame is aerodynamic at speed without any undue weight being added and the design is Trek’s 1.5, endurance-biased geometry that allows for a fast, efficient position which is also comfortable enough for long sportives and even multi-day trips. The very handy addition of hidden mudguard mounts also means that this bike could even be used as a year-round option for riders who don’t want to forgo speed and performance when training in the wetter months.
Shimano’s workhorse 11-speed 105 mechanical groupset is supremely reliable and offers performance that rivals the range-topping options from just a few years ago. Shifting is light and easy with the wide range of ratios making short work of any steep hills or fast descents whilst the hydraulic disc brakes ensure maximum control and confidence in any weather conditions.
The shallow, alloy rimmed wheels are ideal for all-weather use, and won’t be knocked off course by crosswinds. As the 32mm tyres and the wheels are tubeless-ready, they benefit from lower rolling resistance and fewer punctures as well as greater comfort as the tyres can run at lower pressures.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
