Be it for short trips to the shops, sightseeing around a city or venturing further afield, the Trek Dual Sport 2 Disc Hybrid Bike will do it all well. It pairs an alloy frame with an SR Suntour NEX fork using suspension that can be opened or closed to best suit the terrain. It rolls on robust wheels and wide 40mm tyres that further improve comfort alongside grip for confidence at speed and when cornering.

The combination of Shimano triple chainrings and a wide-ranging cassette provides plenty of gears so you can spin up climbs and pick up plenty of speed down the other side. Hydraulic disc brakes take care of the stopping and do a good job in both wet and dry conditions. Cables are housed internally, protecting them from the elements and keeping the bike's aesthetics clean and sleek.

There is an abundance of handy features on the Dual Sport 2. You can mount mudguards and racks using the integrated mounts, and there's a built-in kickstand for quick stops. With the option to add a DuoTrap S device (purchased separately), you can record your speed and cadence and upload to a smartphone to monitor your workouts.
