Trek Fuel EX 9.8 XT 29" Mountain Bike 2020
Trek’s Fuel EX 9.8 XT 29" Mountain Bike is the product of a clever combination of a burly mid-travel chassis with some innovative features and Shimano’s excellent XT and SLX components. The carbon frame has 130mm of travel from a FOX Performance FLOAT EVOL rear shock RE:aktiv with Thru Shaft 3-position damper specially tuned by Trek Suspension Lab. It also has a Mino Link in the rocker that can be flipped to slacken the angles to fine-tune the ride and Knock Block headset to protect the frame from the fork crown. The FOX Performance 36 FLOAT EVOL air spring fork has 140mm of travel and 36mm stanchions to keep it tracking true across the roughest terrain and GRIP damper to control the travel, ensuring great traction.
The combination of Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain and SLX 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes provides precise shifting across the 10-51 cassette and powerful braking that is also easy to modulate. Saddle dropping duties are performed by a Line Elite Dropper seatpost from Bontrager, who also supply the 29” Line Carbon 30 wheels and XR4 Team Issue tyres, both of which are tubeless-ready.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
