Fuel EXe 9.9 XX1 AXS Electric Mountain Bike 2023
One of the very best Electric Mountain Bikes available, Trek’s Fuel EXe 9.9 XX1 AXS makes great use of TQ’s motor technology, giving a trail bike par excellence.
Light, compact and quiet, the TQ electric motor uses a Harmonic Pin-Ring (HPR) mechanism that does away with belts and cogs. This reduces any noise to a whisper and produces natural feeling, lag-free power delivery that really suits this trail-oriented machine and provides assistance up to 15.5 mph / 25 km/h. In combination with the 360wh battery, it helps keep the overall weight of the bike right down, which in turn results in nimble, responsive handling and great climbing.
The carbon frame offers 140mm of travel from the RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate shock, paired with the 150mm RockShox Lyrik Ultimate fork. Both units benefit from an AirWiz to keep check of the pressures and make setup a breeze. The switchable Mino Link allows the geometry to be altered by about 1/2° to fine-tune the handling and mechanics will love the internal channels in the frame that make cable replacement simpler.
SRAM’s 12-speed XX1 Eagle AXS electronic drivetrain is fully wireless so that there are no cables to get contaminated with mud or to stretch so that its exemplary performance won’t deteriorate at all over time. Powerful SRAM Code RSC hydraulic disc brakes with 200mm rotors offer superlative stopping power and control, so descents can be taken full gas.
Made from OCLV Mountain Carbon, the 29” Bontrager Line Pro 30 wheels are light and strong. The Rapid Drive 108 rear hub has 108 points of engagement for an instant response to any input; ideal for sprinting out of corners or powering over obstacles on the trail. SRAM’s wireless AXS system also operates the RockShox Reverb dropper seatpost and the integrated carbon stem and handlebar finishes the bike off in suitably premium style.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
