Trek Project One Fuel EX 9.8 XT 29" Mountain Bike 2020
Up, down or along, Trek’s Project One Fuel EX 9.8 XT 29" Mountain Bike can do it all thanks to the combination of FOX equipped mid-travel carbon chassis, 29” wheels and Shimano XT/SLX components.
The frame features Trek’s Mino Link design that means that the geometry can be slackened by simply flipping a chip in the rocker, as well as internal cable routing and Knock Block protection. FOX Performance FLOAT EVOL shocks front and rear provide 130mm and 140mm of travel respectively, with tunable damping for maximum performance benefits.
The Bontrager Line Elite Dropper seatpost means that the saddle can be instantly dropped on the move giving more room to move about on the bike and the 29” Line Carbon 30 Tubeless Ready wheels are fast-rolling and stiff thanks to the Boost hub spacing. Shimano’s XT and SLX components might sit in second and third place in the groupset line-up, but they give little away in terms of performance to the much more expensive XTR, making them an intelligent choice for a machine that is designed to be ridden hard.
