have been wanting to upgrade my wheelset for a while. paired this rear 808 with a front 404. 1st ride was in strong wind and thought they performed great in crosswinds. breaking was also very good! all in all great upgrade and an efficient service from Sigma.
Bought this a while ago now. Having had previous generation set of 404’s I am pleased to say Zipp has sorted the shocking rear wheel bearing set up. No more constant adjustment and “acceptable” bearing play. The 808 holds speed well and having being used to riding 404’s hanging the rear to an 808, in cross winds I nearly notice any difference an front may be more problematic in windy conditions. I fitted a GP500 tubeless and while not as easy as a clincher, I needed no tools just a bit of brute strength and patience required. The only negative for me is the flex in the wheel when pushing out of the saddle on climbs (70kg rider).
