The Cannondale Synapse 1 Disc Road Bike brings together comfort, responsiveness and capability. The geometry is designed with longer distances in mind; it still feels sporty and lively but is a little more relaxed than some other models. Constructed from alloy, the frame tubes are shaped and butted to damp vibrations and smooth out rough roads with no compromise to ride feel or weight, and the pairing with a carbon fork ensures precise handling.
Shimano 105 components blend reliability with performance, delivering precise 11-speed shifting and all-condition braking. The DT Swiss R470 wheels are paired with Vittoria Zaffiro Pro tyres and are strong and stiff with a tubeless-ready construction that'll allow you to take advantage of the benefits of a tubeless setup.
The frame incorporates a number of mounting points for mudguards and racks, and a toptube bag is also included to increase carrying capacity or keep your pockets light. On days when the weather is looking less tempting, a trainer-compatible thru-axle with easy-to-install end caps will come in handy for simple turbo trainer mounting.

Already had a Cannondale Synapse alloy which I'd really liked and found to be very comfortable to ride but which needed replacing. Saw this one at Sigma Sports at a great price and slightly better spec so went for it. Not disappointed, arrived promptly, boxed set up and ready to go once the seat and handlebars were fitted, something anyone could do. Very much enjoying riding it having now done a few hundred miles.
Well appointed frame, and a well balanced build all-round but I would've liked to see it come in a bit lighter. And despite littering it with standard screws for various accessories, the slightly smaller and unconventional M4 screws needed for the front fork mudguards were omitted. This was a frustration as it seems highly likely that those opting for this type of bike will want to make use of them. Unrelated to the bike itself - Sigma Sports service was very good and kept me informed through a slightly bumpy purchasing experience.
