Having written off my 2022 Topstone 0, I decided to up my game and get a Topstone Carbon 2 GRX. I always loved my Topstone 0, but my new Carbon with Kingpin suspension is even better! I did use a Cane Creek eeSilk+ seat post, but the Kingpin rear suspension on the Carbon gives more compliant, natural feel, and not as 'bouncy' as the Cane Creek. I'm more of a leisure/for fitness type rider, but so far I'm loving it! Plus considering it was nearly a month from write off to getting my Carbon, I was able to get straight back into the distances I'd previously covered - I'm not young so fitness can drop off quickly. I like comfort, or the best compromise, so the only downside is on the Carbon, because of stem design, I cannot use my Cane Creek eeSilk suspension Stem. I must stress, this doesn't detract from the overall feel and performance of the bike, I'll need to adapt! 😆 But the final thing I must add is the staff at Sigma Oakham were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, they treated me with respect and understanding, especially considering I'm relativly a novice. Big thanks to Jim and Josh. They're not my closest bike shop, but worth the extra travel (3 hour round trip) for quality of service 😁
