Seamless Latex Presta 47.5mm Inner Tube
The distinctive Challenge Seamless Latex Presta 47.5mm Inner Tube offers significant advantages, saving more than 3 watts per wheel compared to a butyl inner tube, as confirmed by testing conducted in Germany, Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, and the USA. This lighter, softer, and more supple tube reduces rolling resistance, enhancing comfort, traction, and cornering ability. Additionally, puncture protection is greatly enhanced due to latex's ability to expand 7 to 8 times its original size, compared to butyl's 1.5x expansion. Latex's flexibility allows it to wrap around protruding objects, often preventing punctures altogether. Unlike stiffer butyl tubes, latex expands and envelops objects, reducing the likelihood of punctures even after penetrating the tyre.
