The V5Rs Ultegra Di2 Road Bike showcases Colnago’s lightest carbon frame to date. As a pioneer in carbon fibre bike production, Colnago upholds its reputation with the V5Rs, delivering a frame that weighs just 685g in a midsize unpainted version. Despite its ultralight construction, it retains the stiffness and responsiveness that defined the V4Rs.

Modern road racing increasingly favours riders who create gaps over climbs and extend them on descents, making precise handling essential. This trend was evident in races such as Tour de France Stage 4 and Giro di Lombardia in 2024. The refined fork and headset not only reduce weight but also enhance control and responsiveness, giving riders the confidence to push limits on technical descents.

To accommodate fully integrated cable routing, the fork incorporates a D-shaped section to house the cables neatly. The headset retains a dual bearing setup, with a 1"1/8 top bearing and a 1"1/4 bottom bearing, as seen on the V4Rs. Colnago has also opted for a BSA bottom bracket, a choice made possible by the frame’s inherent stiffness. This eliminates the need for an oversized bottom bracket, contributing to an overall reduction in weight.
