DT Swiss Ratchet EXP Freehub Conversion Kit for Shimano 11-Speed Road

The DT Swiss Ratchet EXP Freehub Conversion Kit enables the hub to be used with a Shimano 11-Speed Road cassette. It fits hubs that have the DT Swiss Ratchet EXP system and utilises custom made steel bearings for super-smooth operation and low rolling resistance. No specialist tools are needed for installation, so making the switch is quick and easy.

Features
  • Genuine DT Swiss Freehub body conversion kit includes freehub body and drive side end cap
  • Ratchet EXP freehub, fits only DT Swiss aftermarket hubs and higher-end wheels using the Ratchet EXP system
  • Freehub features premium custom made DT Swiss steel bearings
  • Requires no specialist tools to install, may need a vice and soft jaws to remove the current end cap if it's too tight to remove by hand
  • If servicing the ratchets when installing the new freehub, it is strongly recommended to use DT Swiss’ specialist molycote grease; only a very small amount is required

Q & A

2 questions answered

  1. How does the gears attach to the freehub

    Asked by Tony (Chester) —

    1. Hi Tony, The kit is the freehub body itself (plus the Ratchet EXP internals), and the cassette mounts onto it rather than the other way around. The freehub body has external splines; the cassette's sprockets have matching internal splines and slide straight on, with one wider spline that sets the orientation, then a lockring threads in to clamp the stack in place. This one takes a Shimano 11-speed road cassette. Many thanks

      Joe W

  2. Does this freehub also take a Shimano 12 speed road cassette?

    Asked by Andy (London) —

    1. Hi there, Yes this can, Many thanks Joe W
