The Jet clip-on bars signal the next generation of carbon clip-on handlebars, merging integration and aerodynamics. The Jet extensions feature ergonomic and integrated armrests and allow a full adjustability of length, width, angle and stack height. They're also compatible with internal cable routing.
The Jet Two bars directly mount on to existing aero bars with the vertical mount already applied. The kit consists of carbon extensions only, without spacers and clamps for handlebar installation. They can fit most TT handlebars on the market thanks to an adjustable alloy plate fitting the spacers of the base bar.
The extensions stack height and angle adjustment must be done by using the original spacers from TT handlebar.
The Deda bars a smart choice for those not able or willing to buy more expensive solutions. They are not the most comfortable, with no forearm foam, but I guess you could fit your own. I needed a separate bracket to fit on my mono-riser TT bike which Deda dont produce. The bars have 2 width options and you can slide the bars forward and back, approx 30mm i guess. Very happy with the purchase.
So let's be clear, this is a lot of money to spend on some extensions, but they are noticeably cheaper than others on the market, and from a very reputable manufacturer. The instructions aren't amazing but I eventually worked out a way to integrate with my basebar and risers. What's not 100% clear is whether you have to use the aluminium adapter plates. A youtuber implied he was not fitting them but I was worried about the integrity and stability without them so erred on the side of caution. Now installed they look great and are really comfortable. One issue is that the Garmin mount adapter is so stiff it unscrews itself when you try to remove the computer. Needs some glue to keep it in place
